Action-Packed Filmmaking

Bring your imagination to life on the big screen.

Escape bombs, chase aliens and create amazing action film sequences… this is StarTime’s Action Pack Movie Making workshop! You’ll engage with some of the latest apps, including; green screen, time-lapse sequencing and other SFX software for the purpose of making your movies more engaging and creative. On completion films will be uploaded to YouTube for all you friends and family to enjoy. This 2 day workshop is action packed, you’ll be amazed with what you can achieve!

Outcomes

Participants will:

• Communicate and combine different ideas within a group in order to produce a mutually agreed outcome
• Learn to utilise features of iMovie trailer app in order to form a coherent story within the trailer format
• Apply lighting, camera techniques, sound and performance to create suspense in a film
• Understand and apply script writing and storyboarding within the iMovie app
• Critically reflect on films based on filmmaking techniques they learn
• Learn how to usse special effects apps
• Understand and apply effective editing techniques to convey story
