In this Variety Day, StarTime will ignite the creative instincts of each child by weaving 3 pillars of creative expression – drama improvisation, drawing and cartooning and our creative sports segment.

Improvisation is high octane creative expression – it’s ability to build confidence by tapping into each person’s ability to “make stuff up” on the spot, is peerless. It enables kids to communicate ideas and to take risks in a fun and supportive environment.

Participants will then dive into the art of cartooning… a journey filled with creativity and challenges where you’ll meet fun characters and design your own wonderful heroes, while defending the lands against the evil Rubbix and his rampaging stickmen army!

The day will conclude with a collaborative, fast-paced creative sports competition. Pitting your physical and creative wits against other teams in obstacle courses, paper plane battles and more – What a day!

Participants will:

Compete in teams to develop collaborative and communication skills
Employ collaborative problem solving skills
Learn fundamental improvisation techniques
Develop winning strategies based on an iterative process in games-based drama activities
Learn and refine cartooning techniques: from idea to paper
Create drawn characters – giving them emotion and personality
Understand competition as being a positive and fun driver for improving individual and team performance
Improve physical awareness and motor skills by engaging in balls sports
Develop bonds through sharing achievements within a team
Develop positive attitudes and a sense of gratitude to both winning and losing
