Charter Hall will be providing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for all children.

However, if you prefer, you are welcome to pack a lunch for your child instead. Children will have a 1-hour lunch break from 12:30pm to 1:30pm to eat and play. You’re also welcome to take your child out for lunch during this time if that suits you better.

Please ensure your child brings the following items on the day:

  • A clearly labelled water bottle
  • Any required medications, named and labelled with instructions

Kindly avoid packing food that contains nuts or requires heating or refrigeration.

Parents / guardians must arrange for the children to be dropped off and picked up from the venue at the designated times.
If for any reason there will be a delay in picking up your child, please contact the program facilitator as soon as possible on 1300 463 513.

Please make sure you have added details of anyone who may be picking up your child other than yourself when completing the online registration form.

You are welcome to pick up your child early. Please let the StarTime Coaches know when you arrive at the workshop. Remember to sign your child out before you leave the venue.

It is at least a ratio of 1:15 children per educator. There are at least two educators onsite.

Children may be divided into their age groups. We do however accommodate siblings or friends who would like to stay in the same group.
During the activities we divide them into smaller groups of 3-5 depending on the activity.
We follow the guidelines of the Office of the Children’s Guardian, whereby in the interest of child protection, we cannot have adults in the room without a verified and current Working with Children Check.

It is best for your child to wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Please note that some workshops can get ‘messy’. On arrival of your first day at the StarTime’s holiday program your child will receive a StarTime t-shirt, if they don’t already have one. There is a question in the online registration form to provide your child’s size.

Please ensure your child is wearing sun cream and has a hat to wear during outdoor activities.

Anything which is left behind by children will be left at the venue. Our StarTime coaches are instructed not to take any lost property with them.

Upon registering please disclose any medical / behavioural conditions, that we need to be aware of in the ‘Additional information’ field. This will ensure that we have the appropriate staff to safely manage all the children in our care. If in doubt, please disclose, and we will contact you for further information.

Appropriate safety precautions and instructions are provided at the start of the program. All care is taken to ensure that the children are in a safe and secure environment.

Parents / Guardians are required to sign-in their child upon arrival, and sign out before leaving the workshop, including if you take your child out for lunch.
Children who are arriving by bus will be signed in by a Sanitarium representative.

If your child gets sick during the day, our program staff will call you to pick them up.
Parents / Guardians must provide up-to-date emergency contact information, and the named emergency contact must be available to pick up the child at short notice.

We take anaphylaxis seriously. Any child that requires an EpiPen must bring theirs on the day, in association with the ASCIA Guidelines. This is so that in the event of an emergency we have the correct and required dose to hand. Please give the EpiPen to one of our staff on morning sign-in and ensure that all information of the allergic condition was recorded on registration.

During an emergency, it is the responsibility of the facilitators to ensure all children are safely evacuated from the building.

The registration platform has the option for you to cancel your registration.
