Fun-tastic Photo Studio Workshop Framework

Below is the StarTime framework for all our coaches to follow. StarTime has developed this over years of experience running thousands of workshops. It is a structure to enable the Coaches to confidently keep the student’s young minds and bodies engaged and keep on track with your syllabus objectives. The syllabus will sit inside the framework and together provide participants with a unique StarTime experience. Please study this closely and carry out its directives.

HOW

  • Make the space safe and energised
  • Set up space ready for the workshop tasks
  • Set up Registration Table & signage

WHO

  • Head Coach to set up and and additional coaches to assist as they arrive.

WHY

It is vital to shape the space ready for the students to arrive – giving that sense of “world class.” Research confirms that environment and how it is set, affects behaviour. We want a safe, fun, creative and focussed environment.

WHY

First impressions count. Engaging the students and parents will start the workshop on the right foot. We bring joy, so its important welcome them warmly, smiling and making them feel important.

HOW / WHO

  • Introductions; get kids excited about what they will be doing. Explain the StarTime Values, Games: These short games start with an all in, high energised game  like postcards or Red Carpet. Then name & action and poison hand.
  • WHO: HC to lead the session. AC’s assist by getting involved and attend to any late arrivals.

WHY

  • Establishes expectations for the day and the StarTime culture.
  • Encourage students to meet each other, collaborate, and prime them for forming groups.
  • Identifies workshop content and prime’s them for the day
  • Name and action acts as an opportunity for Coaches to know the kids and award courage stars.
