Overview: StarTime’s Fun Physics workshop is designed to take everyday items and transform them into experiments of physics. Illustrating how gravity, friction, static electricity, kinetic energy, force, motion and magnetism interact.

In StarTime LIVE’s Fun Physics workshop, we will challenge participants with the egg drop – demonstrating Kinetic Energy and learning about gravity, drag and impact. The second challenge will be to the Marshmallow catapult wars – further re-enforcing their learning in a fun and dynamic way.

For Ages: 5-12yrs

Egg Drop challenge:

• Egg – Raw
• Cardboard / egg carton
• Straws (if you have any)
• Plastic bin bag
• String or elastic bands
• Sticky tape
• Scissors
• Balloons x 4
• Bubble Wrap or Paper/newspaper

Catapult:

• Poppsicle sticks
• Plastic Spoon
• Elastic bands
• Marshmallow
