DRAMA runs from 3:15 – 4:15pm.

FILMMAKING runs from 3:15-4:45pm.

Please keep your child at home if they are too sick to attend, or if they have an airborne illness and are coughing.
If your child is sick and can no longer attend the workshop, please email [email protected] immediately so that we can notify the Head Coach.

Students will be met by a StarTime Coach at COLA at 3:00pm and escorted to Homebase 2 (next to OSHC). Please collect your child from the OSHC gate (Gate 1 on Quarry Street)

It’s essential that you provide up-to-date pick-up information in the ‘Additional Notes’ section of the online registration form. This includes the full name and phone number of any person (other than yourself) who may be collecting your child.

In case of an emergency, please also ensure that you list an alternative emergency contact name and number that is different from your own. This helps us ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care.

You are welcome to pick up your child when you like, however you will need to sign them out each time and notify one of the workshop supervisors on the day.

It is at least a ratio of 1:15 children per educator. There are at least two educators onsite.

Children may be divided into their age groups. We do however accommodate siblings or friends who would like to stay in the same group.

In line with the Office of the Children’s Guardian, we generally do not allow adults to remain in the room during workshops unless they are StarTime-trained staff or have a verified and current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

However, we understand that some children—especially younger ones—may need extra support settling in. In special circumstances, if a parent holds a current WWCC and has concerns, they may stay during the warm-up games to help their child feel comfortable. After that, we kindly ask all parents to leave the room, as having adults present throughout the session can compromise the focus and experience for all participants.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us create a safe and engaging environment for all children.

It is best for your child to wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Wearing the school uniform is fine.

Anything which is left behind by children will be left at the venue. Our StarTime coaches are instructed not to take any lost property with them.

Upon registering please disclose any medical / behavioural conditions, that we need to be aware of in the ‘Additional information’ field. This will ensure that we have the appropriate staff to safely manage all the children in our care. If in doubt, please disclose, and we will contact you for further information.

Appropriate safety precautions and instructions are provided at the start of the program. All care is taken to ensure that the children are in a safe and secure environment.

Parents / Guardians are required to sign-in their child upon arrival, and sign out before leaving the workshop, including if you take your child out for lunch.
Children who are arriving by bus will be signed in by a Sanitarium representative.

If your child gets sick during the day, our program staff will call you to pick them up.
Parents / Guardians must provide up-to-date emergency contact information, and the named emergency contact must be available to pick up the child at short notice.

We take anaphylaxis seriously. Any child that requires an EpiPen must bring theirs on the day, in association with the ASCIA Guidelines. This is so that in the event of an emergency we have the correct and required dose to hand. Please give the EpiPen to one of our staff on morning sign-in and ensure that all information of the allergic condition was recorded on registration.

During an emergency, it is the responsibility of the facilitators to ensure all children are safely evacuated from the building.

The registration platform has the option for you to cancel your registration ahead of the term starting.
